In a move to provide extra security for our customers, Flame UK has become Cyber Essentials accredited.

What is Cyber Essentials Plus?

Cyber Essentials, backed by the UK government, is a way for businesses to show that they’re taking the extra step to protect their customers and their data. The accreditation focuses on the five technical controls that are designed to guard businesses from internet based cyber security threats. These include firewalls and malware protection.

If a business has the Cyber Essentials certification badge, it’s a signal to any customers or suppliers that the organisation can be trusted with not only their data, but their business. Any businesses looking to become accredited will have to put the necessary defences in place to protect their customers to achieve this certificate.

What does Cyber Essentials Plus mean for our customers?

We want everyone we work with to feel safe when they partner with us. We hope this accreditation will give our customers, supply chain and partners the peace of mind that their data is safe and secure with us. At Flame UK, we’ve always handled any data with care and the upmost security, but our Cyber Essential Plus accreditation gives us something to prove it. This accreditation also means that we’re protected in the event of a cyber-attack. In the unlikely event that something was to happen, we have protection. So, your data is safe with us.

What’s the next step for us?

Cyber attackers are becoming more intelligent and are adapting to the different counter hacking measures that businesses are putting in place. We’ll continue to review our cyber security to keep up with the newest protection methods and give our customers, supply chain and partners the confidence that their data is safe with us.

Dan Pegram, Director at Flame UK, said: “We’re incredibly pleased to have achieved the Cyber Essentials Plus accreditation. We want to show that we’re doing everything we can to keep every person and business that we work with safe. This accreditation is a way of reaffirming our dedication to cyber security amid the ever-evolving risks in the digital era.

We’re proud to be taking the extra measures necessary to protect our business in the event of a cyber-attack and display our commitment to ensuring the safe handling of all our data.
