Major sporting events moving towards sustainability

The big story this week is the Lionesses’ victory in the UEFA Women’s Euro 2022 for the first time.  🙌⚽

Also for the first time at a major football match, UEFA have implemented biodegradable packaging made from seaweed at all vendors in Wembley Stadium to reduce the carbon footprint of the final.

We wrote a few weeks ago about Wimbledon’s sustainability commitment, and now other major sporting events are thinking more sustainably.  Find out more about UEFA’s move below!

Getting the right waste management strategy can maximise efficiency; minimise environmental impact, ensure safe working conditions, and ensure compliance with regulations.
